Busy night at the club

There were seven tables, all doing something different, all having fun, young and old.  In the foreground can be seen the very interesting "All Quiet on the Martian Front".

Preparations afoot for Waterloo circa 2015

French from Reilles Corps prepare for the big push at the NWS

Preparations are well under way at the Napoleonic Wargaming Society for a wonderful day of commemorating the final "great" battle of the Napoleonic Wars.  On Saturday, June 13th 2015 the club will be putting on two large games that centre on the great engagement at Waterloo.

Mark H and the 15's crowd will be putting on a deluxe version of Waterloo using the ever popular and re-ascending Napoleons Battles.  He already has a big contingent of ten players ready to take the field to see if Boney can get his revenge or whether history will once again shine on Wellington, Blucher and the glorious Allies.

The specially commissioned logo for club to celebrate the occassion.

The other game will involve the most dramatic D'Erlons attack upon the allied positions in 28mm and using the wonderfully crafted General De Brigade rules from the very clever Dave Brown.  This will involve two 12 x 6 tables and over ten players.

SAGA Tournament 2014 NWS

Saga Competition Details

The NWS Saga competition will be run on 26th July at the North Perth Bowling Club on Farmer Street North Perth. Entry from 8am.

Cost will be $15.00 per entry with 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed prizes generously donated by War & Peace. There is also an award for the first Warlord killed, as well as the last placed contestant.

Competitors will need to select a 6pt war band as per the Saga rules from the original Saga rulebook and the Northern Fury supplement. The Jomsviking are not included.

Each player will need to supply a valid 6pt war band faction along with entry fee by 19th July 2014.  Remember; No pay, no play.

The competition will consist of three scenario-based games played on a
48”x 48” table. Each game will be played over seven rounds or two hours, whichever comes first. The winner will be determined on the number of victory points scored as per the Saga rules and the scenario being played. The loss of a Warlord will not necessarily end the game.

The overall winner will be determined as the one with the greatest accumulated victory points over the three games. In the event of a draw the loss of each class of combatant from the Warlord down will be taken into account.

All players will need to register their attendance on the day by 8.30am. We will aim for a 9.00am start so require everyone to be prompt. No show by 9.00am will incur a forfeit on the first game awarding your opponent an easy victory.

A forfeit will be awarded to the player whose opponent was a no show by calculating the average total of VP’s scored by every player during the round the forfeit occurred.

The umpire’s decision in all matters will be final.
