New Zealand has been hit with 10% tariffs - pretty light compared with some countries. Looking this stuff up, I discovered a company that exports Manuka Honey to the US, one product going for $2,499 the jar. I'm not making this up.
Presumably the price will now go up to $2,749 the jar. I seriously doubt that anyone prepared to shell out 2500 dollars for a jar of honey is going to blink at an extra $250.
Of course, it is at the bottom end of the markets that the tariffs will bite - assuming this country doesn't figure out some deal to mitigate their effect.
