2014 WINGS OF GLORY GAME AT THE NWS

2014 WINGS OF GLORY GAME AT THE NWS
[3DEC]
WW2 AIR COMBAT OVER SOUTHERN ENGLISH COAST

Capt. Mark Biko is in his Curtis P40F(Warbird) on patrol along the southern English Coast.
His luck is in! He spots a lone Heinkel 111 straggler from an earlier German raid is trying to get back to its base in France.  No cloud cover and the German is at 8,000'.

Capt. "Biko" dives down to intercept the German bomber. Opening fire at long range the bomber takes damage!
The Heinkel HE-111 turns and weaves to evade the P40, keeping the fighter out of close range and firing its side and rear machine guns to damage the P40.

The fighter make repeated passes on the bomber who returns fire. The bomber is taking more damage than it gives!

As Capt. "Biko" realizes his fuel is getting low, his final burst of fire damages the bomber and it starts smoking: unlikely to make it home over the English Channel.......

A entertaining combat between the two pilots. Mark B and Stephen N.
